Investigating the paranormal has come a long way since the days of Ouija boards and seances. Although some people still use these devices modern day paranormal investigating, or ghost hunting, has progressed into the age of electronics and various techniques to help us see and hear those who may still linger in our world in spirit form. One of those tools is the thermal imaging camera.
This camera captures images using heat signatures. Bright red is hot, like a living person. Yellow is warm and can be registered as a person from farther away. Blue is cold. My wife and I went on a ghost tour in downtown Greeley, Colorado recently, put on by the team at Weld County Paranormal. They are very knowledgable, tell fantastic historically correct stories, and have a vast knowledge of the paranormal. It's always a joy to attend one of their events. I took several photos during the tour and had some surprising results. Two of the pictures I took are below. The image on the left is one taken while our group was in an alley and checking out some readings near a spot where several people have died. The blue image in the background was something strange. There were no other people down the alley at this time. The photo on the right is even more interesting. Only three people were in the shot on the right when I took this. One was standing close to me, one was kneeling at a grate, and the other was standing on the other side of her. The image of the person on the right was no one, and the blue color indicates it was cold. In other words, there was no one to be seen with the naked eye. It's always exciting to investigate. You never know what you'll discover!
Thanks for reading.
