Drew Bankston builds worlds that don’t exist yet—and he’s been doing it since elementary school, when CS Lewis and Ray Bradbury first showed him what was possible. As a teenager, science became his obsession. Not just what it was, but where it could go. Those “what if” questions became stories. Those stories became his future.

The Books

His first published book? A memoir about dealing with  Bell’s Palsy. Unexpected, maybe—but it proved he could turn any experience into a story worth telling. Then came the Tokorel series, written and impossible to stop at just two books. “The Imagination Stone,” “The Sounds of Tomorrow,” and “Lines of Force” followed in rapid succession, each one pushing deeper into the sci-fi and fantasy realms he loves. His non-fiction work, “The Monster’s Lap,” rounds out a catalog that refuses to stay in one lane.

When he’s not writing, Drew runs a video production company in Greeley, Colorado, where he lives with his family. But the stories never stop. He’s already deep into the next Tokorel installment—and several other projects designed to pull you into worlds you’ve never imagined.
